EHYFS relies on a diverse range of funding sources to support our work. While we receive funding from the Town of East Haddam and various grants, these resources alone are not sufficient to fully cover the cost of the programs and services we provide.

We depend on the generosity of residents, businesses, and community partners. Their financial support plays a vital role in ensuring that we can sustain and expand the services that make a meaningful difference in the lives of East Haddam and Moodus residents.

What Your Support Has Made Possible

Thanks to donations from the community in addition to funding from the Town of East Haddam and various grants, EHYFS achieves so much each year. Among other things, in 2025 EHYFS was able to:

  • Support 112 local youth with our annual Holiday Campaign
  • Partner with local organizations to present Project Safe Halloween for 970 youth
  • Provide a free Baking Club to 15 students at Nathan Hale Ray Middle School
  • Hold our annual Summer Palooza event with our first ever Wellness Fair for 150 participants
  • Provide 3 weeks of free summer programs for community children
  • Assist 28 East Haddam families with back-to-school shopping
  • Help 15 East Haddam youth with school refusal and youth diversion supports
  • Connect dozens of East Haddam residents to mental health and substance use treatment
  • Visit Nathan Hale Ray High School health classes to educate students about mental health awareness and substance use prevention 
  • Provide free Naloxone training and Mental Health First Aid Training to first responders and others in the community
  • Present a grocery budgeting workshop
  • Help over 100 residents struggling to pay their bills apply for assistance programs
